1st February 2008 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 25-35 knots Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot rough surf Air Temperature: 5ºC Sea Temperature: 8ºC Weather: Sunnys spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: No snow but at least the wind was blowing so I went for a sail... It was windier than I was expecting and I'd only taken my 5.6m across to the beach. Rlly the 4.5m would have been plenty but i couldn;t be bothered to go back and get it as I didn't have much time so i went out with the 5.6m anyway. Overpowered but able to hang on. Needless to say I didn't go for much in the way of jumps etc but just played it safe trying to cope with kit that was too big. I did get some nice big jumps anyway even if they were mainly unintentional. Holding on wasn't made any easier by the cold. My hands started hurting after the first few runs so I came in for a bit and let the pain pass and then they were fine. All in all a good session in some proper winter conditions. |
